Here is a collection of black and white photographs taken by Joseph Szabo, perhaps best known for his iconic image of a young girl smoking on the beach which was later used as the front cover for Dinosaur Jr's 'Green Mind' album. Most of his subjects are american teens and he possesses the charming ability of highlighting and celebrating the undeniable awkwardness of adolescence in many of his shots.

Santa Maria Della Concezione Crypts, Rome

In 1631 the Capuchin Friars left their friary near the Trevi Fountain and came to live at the Santa Maria Della Concezione Crypts.
They brought with them the remains of deceased friars so that all the Capuchin friars would be in the same place. Rather than simply burying them, the monks decorated the the crypt with their bones to remind themselves that death could come any time.
