Warner Brothers Planning Prequel To The Shining

According to The L.A. Times, Warner Bros. are currently planning the possibility producing a prequel to Stanley Kubrick's legendary 80s feature film The Shining. Being a prequel, the film would focus on the events before Jack Torrance and his family arrive at the hotel. It is currently not clear if the film would be connected to the prequel novel that author Stephen King is currently working on, although that seems likely.
