BBC Four recently ran a three part series documenting the years preluding punk rock, punk itself and what was born in the wake of the Pistols' demise, which would laster become known as post-punk. The story of punk which arguably ran its course between 1976-1978 is a story most music fan has heard many times over, however, the story of the generation of musicians that followed and re-imagined punk rock under Margaret Thatcher is a story told far less. This great hour long documentary tells this story, through archive footage, insightful social historical context and interviews from some of the key players involved in the movement.
