Today, Notting Hill carnival takes over the west-side of the capital. Europe's biggest street festival has been held every year since 1965 on the streets of Notting Hill and is possibly the best way to shake your post Olympic blues. Above is a map charting the location of each of the official sound-systems scattered across the Carnival route. Personal favourites include Channel One Soundsystem and Norman Jay's Goodtimes, but each have something different to offer so try to spread your wings and explore a little while enjoying some great food and culture this bank holiday weekend.
